YAY! 2 months to go!! We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and the decrease in the baby's activity last week was due to it finding a comfortable spot. The baby is now head down and is loving kicking & punching out on the sides and upwards. I didn't need to breath the rest of the pregnancy anyways...
The doctor said that they would induce me a week later, if I haven't had the baby by then. So, by August 5/6, Little Peanut should definitely be here! Let's hope it's more like July 29th though!

May 27 Dad & Peanut Play!
Last night, as Matt and I were lying in bed trying to sleep, Peanut was ready to play! (I have a feeling this is a good indication of how our future nights will go). Dad and Peanut exchanged a series of high-5's while Matt sang and talked to the baby. I'll have to teach Dad not to get the baby riled up before bedtime! Just because Matt was done playing & ready for bed, didn't mean that Peanut was! Makes it hard for Mom to fall asleep!!!
The baby definitely has less room to move around now (the baby is approximately 16 inches long and weighs about 3 1/2 lbs). The movements have become more of a jab, than a soft bump every now and then.
I'm nearing the end of my 31st week and we have another doctor's appointment this afternoon. It won't be long now! Hmmm....wonder if that crib is on the way yet??!

May 10 Baby Shower
Here are some photos from our baby shower that Kristin & Vicki threw us on May 10. They are slightly out of order, but thought you'd enjoy them anyways! And, yes, you do see a Michigan stroller and tricycle in the mix there! Hmmm...wonder who picked those out???
Thank you everyone! We received very nice gifts and now we are super excited to have Little Peanut join us out here (10 more weeks!!!). I'm into my 29th week in these pictures.

Birthday Celebrations!
Tyler and I celebrated our birthdays together over the weekend - his a week late & mine a week early! We went to Tony Packo's (made famous on M*A*S*H by Jamie Farr) and had cake at Mom & Dad's. You'll notice that I needed a fire extinguisher to put out the flames & subsequent smoke (M & D - why didn't your smoke alarm go off??). Not sure why Ty didn't have candles on his cake too?! T, L & C - we missed you guys! We're looking forward to a Leo Birthday Bash in August!

Little Peanut Likes Dad's Singing!
Last night, Matt sang Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to Peanut and the baby was SO excited! Dad finally felt the baby kick, several times in a row. Peanut must recognize Dad's voice now!

A Scathing Rant...Then I'm Over It.
So, I'm not really sure what it is about pregnancy that makes people think they are free to give tons of UNsolicited advice...about weight gain, what to eat during which month, what (not) to put on your registry, what doctor to go to, etc.
Here's some TMI for everyone: my uterus now extends 2 inches above my navel and is the size of a SOCCER BALL! Guess what? I'm supposed to look like this! And, I don't really care that your daughter is due a week after me and she's not NEARLY as BIG as I am!
I think it would be really cool if we could all focus on how awesome it is to be growing a baby and appreciate that everyone is different and everyone's experience with pregnancy is different. And, if you can't think of something nice to say, just don't make unwanted comments. It literally SUCKS the fun out of having a baby.
Here's some questions that I would appreciate being asked, as opposed to getting unsolicited advice:
What is the best part about being pregnant?
How often do you feel the baby move/kick?
How big is the baby now?
What week of pregnancy are you in? What is happening, in terms of development, at this week?
Do you need help with anything?
How are you sleeping?
How is your research going for your registry? What resources are you utilizing?
Yours Truly,
The most hormonal pregnant woman you never want to deal with if you make one more unsolicited comment. Seriously.
