Baby Uday!

Let me introduce you to Baby Uday; whom we affectionately call "The Little Peanut".

Check out the little feet, which will soon be kicking mommy in the ribs.

"You'll shoot your eye out!"

Come on baby, let's do the twist.

Weighing in at 10 oz. is the future left tackle of the Michigan Wolverines.

Busy weekend!

Matt and I had a busy weekend working on the condo. A BIG thank you to Mom & Dad and Bud & Vicki for helping us!!!

We're trying to finish up those little projects that seem to lose importance in light of daily life. We painted our master bath a light blue (instead of the sponge-paint brown), installed trim in the kitchen, fixed the lock & doorknob on the front door and decluttered (i.e. packed my entire non-maternity wardrobe, about half of our books and most of the stemware in the china cabinet).

Now, we just need T & T Moving Company to get together for a reunion tour and help us move stuff outta here! :)

We are going to be putting our condo on the market soon, so if you know anyone who's looking, please let us know!

After packing even a fraction of our stuff this weekend, I'm ready to renounce our worldly possessions. Who needs all this stuff?? All you pack-rats of the world know what I'm talking about!

Buy Stock in Dairy!

So I thought I would give this blog a try, and after my third trip to buy milk for Megan this week, it is easy to think of a topic. I should point out, that I have been buying milk 2 gallons at a time, 2-3 times a week. I am not really complaining about this, but pointing out my amazement at how much milk Megan is drinking. Not to mention that she can't pass a McDonald's without stopping for a chocolate milk shake. I am not complaining about this either, because she usually shares them with me.

Maybe this means we will have a big, strong football player someday! I will gladly keep buying milk, but if anyone knows where I can find a small dairy cow that would be happy living on our balcony, let me know.

On a side note, I have begun reading aloud excerpts from the Michigan Football Media Guide and Ski magazine while Megan naps. It is never too early to get kids interested in "reading".

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's Day, Matt and I went to the newly renovated Detroit Institute of Arts & out to dinner at Giovanni's in Detroit.

Matt couldn't help but to take a couple pictures of me, wearing my new maternity clothes (thanks, mom, for standing in the store for 2 hours, while I tried on every article of clothing!). This picture was taken at the beginning of my 17th week.

For those of you who would like a close-up.

Have you been eating cookies?

My husband is SO funny! The past few nights, Matt comes into the bedroom, wondering where I am hiding the Girl Scout cookies (so I ordered a few boxes of Carmel Delites in a moment of weakness). His timing is perfect. I have just applied cocoa butter lotion (smells vaguely like chocolate, but I wouldn't eat it) to my ever-expanding stomach and he wants to know if I have been chowing cookies in bed!

Now, I know there's conflicting views on the effectiveness of cocoa butter on stretch marks, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I'll let you know how useful it was by time July rolls around.
